Our Celebration

A Weekend at the Castle

We're gathering the people we love most for a long weekend in Scotland — stone walls, soft summer light, and a bit of Highland magic — before we say our vows at Dundas Castle on July 2nd.

In lieu of formal paper invitations, this website is your invitation. Everything you need — the schedule, where to stay, what to wear, and how to RSVP — will live here, and we'll keep it updated as details are confirmed.

Travel & Stay

Where to Rest Your Head

Dundas Castle is a private estate 15 minutes from Edinburgh, and rooms on the grounds are limited. We've done our best to make sure everyone is close by and comfortable.

Limited Availability

Staying at the Castle

Rooms at Dundas Castle are held for our wedding party and immediate family. If a room on the grounds is yours, you'll hear from us directly with booking details.

Room Block

Nearby Hotel

We've also secured a room block at a hotel just a short drive from the castle. There's parking on the castle grounds, it's a quick five-minute drive, and an Uber is easy too. Booking instructions and the group code will be posted here soon.

Come Early, Stay a While

We'll be arriving in Edinburgh Sunday or Monday ahead of the weekend, and we'd love for you to do the same. It's a beautiful city made for wandering — the Old Town, a whisky tasting, a wander up Arthur's Seat — and a few extra days gives everyone time to settle in before things kick off Wednesday. Edinburgh Airport is about 25 minutes from the castle.

The Venue

Dundas Castle

Dundas Castle has stood on its estate west of Edinburgh since 1416, when the Auld Keep was first raised as both home and stronghold. Its Tudor-Gothic main house was added centuries later by the architect William Burn, and the two now sit together on wide lawns above a quiet loch. The whole estate belongs to us for the weekend — stone walls, candlelight, and gardens made for wandering, just fifteen minutes from the city.

Black Tie, Recommended

We'd love to see the evening dressed in the colors of our palette — feel free to weave in true lavender, champagne gold, or deep green wherever you like.

Thursday evening's Fantasy Portrait session is a separate, playful moment — wear your best fantasy-inspired look then, no black tie required.

A little inspiration — lavender, deep green, and champagne, black tie, and a nod to Highland tradition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I staying at the castle or the hotel?
We'll let you know directly which is yours to book — a number of rooms are held at Dundas Castle, and we've paired those with a nearby hotel block so everyone has a comfortable place to rest each night.
Is the Wednesday dinner hosted?
We'll pop a reservation together so it's easy for anyone who wants to join — dinner itself will be on your own tab.
What is "Fantasy Portraits" night?
Thursday evening after the barbecue, we're inviting everyone to dress in their favorite fantasy-inspired look for a set of portraits around the castle grounds. It's our treat — fully hosted, nothing for you to book or pay for, entirely optional and entirely for fun.
Illustrated fantasy costume inspiration — gowns, armor, and starlit robes for Fantasy Portraits night
Can I arrive before Wednesday?
Please do. We'll be in Edinburgh from Sunday or Monday, and we'd love company exploring the city before the weekend's festivities begin.
